Thanks for the memories!

June 3rd, 2009

Thank you to everyone who made it out to an event at the 2009 edition of the Over The Top Festival, it was without a doubt our most successful year to date. We have been catching up on sleep since the end of the festival and look forward to presenting events at the Sled Island Festival (Calgary), amongst others in the coming weeks and months.

Over The Top starts now!

May 21st, 2009

The Over The Top Festival’s eighth year is just hours away from commencing, so that signals a necessary web update. Tickets for each day go off sale on Ticketweb at 5PM each evening. Tickets are available for all events at the door, or from Rotate This and Soundscapes. Some shows are more limited in ticket availability than others.

Wristband reminder

May 20th, 2009

A reminder that the Over The Top Festival has wristbands available at Rotate This and Soundscapes that provide access to all events with exception to the play The Book of Judith. If you plan on seeing more than three events, then the wristband has paid for itself. Quantities are limited, but at present still available.

Ticket and set time address

May 19th, 2009

The Over The Top Festival has received a number of emails that have addressed both ticket and set time concerns. To help provide clarity to the subject, we can tell you that there are tickets available for all festival events at present. While advance tickets are recommended, purchasing at the door should not pose an issue.

All concerts will start soon after their advertised door times. Shows held at the Polish Combatants Hall, 6 Nassau and Whippersnapper Gallery and the Mod Club will all be over by 1AM at the latest, with many ending earlier to allow time to catch public transit. Concerts at Sneaky Dees may be run a little past 1AM, but are subject to change.

Over The Top Festival returns to Toronto this week!

May 18th, 2009

The Theatre Centre, The Suck and Blow Collective, Absit Omen Theatre and Die in Debt’s The Book of Judith opens on May 19th and features performances through May 31st. White Lightnin’ ticket update

May 17th, 2009

White Lightnin’ is having its Canadian premiere on May 21st as part of the Over The Top Festival. Tickets for the film are available online through Ticketweb and at the door night of the film. Anyone interested in seeing the film will not have any issues purchasing tickets at the door.

The Paint Movement added, address clarification

May 16th, 2009

The Paint Movement are now opening the Tiny Masters of Today concert at the Whippersnapper Gallery on May 23rd. Please come for 7PM prompt as the show is scheduled to end by 10:45PM.

There has been confusion about the address for the Baby Dee/Timber Timbre/Ghost Bees and Mecca Normal/Dave Borins/Wilderness of Manitoba events that started on our end. The address is in fact 6 Nassau Street in Kensington Market, not 67 Nassau Street. Please help spread the word if you know someone who is attending or purchased an earlier ticket from what is now available.

May 14th, 2009

Green Go, The Guest Bedroom and Bayonets! will be closing out the Over The Top Festival’s run at Sneaky Dees on May 23rd. This is definitely going to be a great show to check out after Tiny Masters of Today and Five Blank Pages respectively which end around 10PM.

The Wilderness of Manitoba and Dave Borins are supporting Mecca Normal on May 22nd at 6 Nassau. Please be there for the 8PM door time.

The series of four short plays running on May 23rd have been moved to Jamie’s Area, located in Kensington Market at 193 Augusta Avenue. Website has been updated to reflect changes.
